Vacation
i have waay too much to blog. but no-one with care about it...
we left early in the morning, drove for ages. I didnt get really carsick, but i just sat, slept... i thought my CD player was broken. and it is asking for nausea for me to read in the car. We got to my grandma's apartment at 1:30, went right back out to get food. We got cold latkes (grooooss) and food from the salad bar at the spermarket. They sell it by weight. I got food that mixes ok, like mushrooms and melon and strawberries. my siblings got unmixable food, like shrimp salad, jello, and eggs. It got slightly tipped... so James threw a tantrum about not getting lunch. Everyone offered him his... then we were laughing about food. The fact on the inside of James's Snapple was that the eye expands 45% when looking at something pleasent. They must have meant the pupil... but it set off a set of jokes about my sister going, "look! boys!" and then having her eyes explode. And the boys saying, "man, she WAS hot..." 'twas weird. at the very end, my sister found a door to the roof. we're gonna go up there next time...
then we drove for many more hours to my grandad's house. I found a teddy i had left there two years ago... it was my favorite til i forgot about it. not much of interest that night. we watched a documentary about public schools in NYC that started teaching ballroom dancing. wasn't hugely intersting, but i saw the point. too complicated to explain here. And i read. then i went to bed, dreamed odd stuff, woke up, found some art books that i borrowed. had more fights with my brother over food.. drove, realized my cd player needed new batteries, used it, went to a buffet for lunch (why do we always do that on trips? i cant eat what i want, or i get looked at weirdly, or i throw up in the car...) then we drove home. the house was freezing. then i went to Marina's surprise party slightly late, because of the trip.

yeah. that was pretty funny. our family vacations bounce between laughing hysterically and huge fights.
